Post 3- My first Semester
My first semester of college has been a great experience so far. I learned a lot about myself and my studying skills. I understood that being successful in college depends on how seriously you take it; if you want to be at your top, you need to work for it.
I was nervous before school started, everyone told me that classes are hard and very competitive; however, my first semester was (usually) not that hard after all.
An example to one very important thing I learned during this semester is that some majors require more work than others. While my learning time out of college is limited, I figured how to divide it into the different subjects the way it fits my schedule and my requirements. This skill helped me a lot passing the midterms, which were all at the same time…
In addition to my educational skills, I had developed new friendship relationships with the people I just met. I got to talk with different students from countries all over the world, and learned about their unique traditions as well.
My goal for the spring semester is to finish as much pre-requisite courses I can; that is because I can’t wait to get into the business school and actually learn about my own major. I’m sure I will continue developing my knowledge and meet more interesting people who will influence my college years, and who knows, maybe even my life.
I feel blessed studying in NYC and look forward to what the future holds for me 🙂
