Unsure of my major and minor, I was worried about my choice of college. Baruch college was well known for business, however I was concerned whether or not I was truly committed to pursuing the business major. When the student advisor visited our freshman seminar class, I began to understand there were far more majors Baruch offered. The advisor was very helpful as she thoroughly explained how to determine per-requisite classes as well. I decided to research the majors Baruch offered and I came to a expected major on mathematics and a minor on chemistry. With the help of the advisors I became more prepared as a student!

Monologue
Life is stress and stress is life. College wasn’t as I expected to be. There was plenty of free time as a Student. Although most of the time I had to work during these hours, I tried my best to also manage my school work. As a student in high school, I always procrastinated and this transition wasn’t as easy as it seemed as I continued to work and be a full time college student. I felt like I was behind my studies. Every other day and during the weekends I worked till 7. Coming home exhausted I would have no energy to compete my assignments other than a few light homework. Lately I’ve also thought about quitting but how can any one cut a money flow. I realized I just needed better time management and a system where I can successfully be on top of my classes while I worked. Some of those tactics were completing homework and studying the day of. Although this plan wasn’t completely helpful, as of now I was still able to be on top of my assignments.P
Game Room
Since I work on Tuesdays and Thursdays I wasn’t able to join or attend a club. I didn’t have a chance to meet anyone outside my classes. Today, however, my boss was willing to give me a day off to study , but I used this time to try to find a club of my interest. Instead of finding a club I found the game room. Although it was packed I was able to meet new friendly people and play a game of pool. I was glad I ran into the game room and I enjoyed spending my time there. Even though I could’ve been making shmoney the game room was worth the day off. Next time ill try to join a club…
Financial Aid Office Struggle
I had a couple of questions I wanted to confirm about my financial aid so I decided to make a trip over to the “other” building during my class break. Just for my relief I decided to go during a 50 minute break I had on Monday. As soon as I arrived at the front doors I wandered off to the library thinking the elevators were there to take me to financial aid office. However, soon enough I found my way to the 7th floor . As I turned the corner to what was a financial aid office was a indoor six flags. The line was incredibly long. Eventually, I was late… however the line went by pretty fast. The financial aid workers gave me a great experience as they guided me through and relieved my worries.
