As the first semester begins to come to an end registration arises. I️ was very confused because I️ wasn’t sure what classes I️ should apply for since I️ didn’t know what I️ needed to take in order to be on track. The workshop that we had during freshman seminar for registration helped but I️ still wanted to make sure I️ was on the right path so I️ decided to go to the advisement office. The wait took forever but when I️ finally got to see my advisement counselour he helped me through everything and even wrote down the classes I️ should register for next semester. I’m so thankful I️ went because honestly I️ was pretty lost but now I’m registered for all my classes and ready for the second semester.

Student Government :)
So its been a month since school started and hence I feel a little more comfortable I decided to go to a club meeting and check it out. I wanted to get more involved in the school so I chose student government. Once I got there everyone was super friendly. At first they talked about what student government was and the positions there were and what they did. Afterward we got to eat and mingle. To conclude the meeting they made us play a game which I thought was pretty fun because we got to know other freshman who weren’t in our block. I think this experience was really fun and I would totally recommend others to go to club meetings and check it out.
Technology help center
Recently I decided to purchase a new laptop for college but if you know me you know I suck at technology. My first week at Baruch I decided to not bring in my laptop because I was still trying to set up all the programs and apps my laptop needed however my first day bringing it into class I realized I didn’t have any of the Microsoft programs installed so when class started I didn’t know where to type up my notes (sigh). After class I had an hour break and decided to pass by the technology help center on the sixth floor in the library building since I had read on the Baruch website that students got free Microsoft installation. The workers were super helpful and guided me through everything and it turns out that the program isn’t available just yet but now I know where to go when I need help with my laptop.
