The other day, as I was sitting in class waiting for my professor to arrive, I started thinking about what I could do outside of class to help build my resume. I figured the best place to go for info about clubs was an older student at Baruch. I started talking to one of the students sitting next to me who’s a junior now. He recommended that I check out a business club called IMG. IMG is an acronym for Investment Management Group and work to invest a portion of Baruch’s endowment in the markets. Of course, I would love to be apart of a club like this, but the application process is extremely competitive. I hope to apply this upcoming January and become a part of the club going forward.

Hillel
After getting out of class one day, Leora Fadlun and I were looking to eat involved in a club on campus. Fortunately we were met by a representative from the Hillel who suggested we check it out. To my surprise, the event was pretty informative about the impact of current events on our daily lives. We watched a news correspondent explain the horrible situation in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, sometimes events like these are the only things that help bring our country together. After the short video clip, we spoke about ways in which we as individuals could bring about greater national unity.
Registrars Office!!!
As an incoming Freshman, I’m pretty sure we were all a little apprehensive about what these next 4 years would look like. Fortunately, the amazing tour guides during orientation were able to give a solid layout of the many resources the students at Baruch have at their disposal. As a result, I was able to quickly locate the registrars office (which was litt) and take care of the paperwork I needed. Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to all the legends who helped make freshman orientation what it was. Its nice to see that the community is really supportive and willing to help you out when you need it.
