Freshman Seminar Fall 17 DFD

MET

I recently went to The Metropolitan Museum of Art for the first time. There were many diverse and interesting arts. From ancient Egyptian art to ancient Chinese art and even Japanese art. I never knew that there would be a line to get in  the museum. I had to wait half an hour just to get in, however, the beautiful fountain display alleviated my boredom. I had a great time and it was definitely worth the wait.

MoMA

On September 29, I went to the Museum of Modern Art. I had to go for a object description project that I had to do for my art history class. When I first entered, I got my ticket which had a cute picture on the back, the tickets were free since I had a CUNY id. I walked around for a long time looking at random art wondering which to choose from. In the end I found a artwork that was the US flag, although it looked like a simple flag, it had many details ingrained into the art. I would probably visit the museum again if a new exhibit opens up, I would love to see what the museum have the next time I visit.

Alpha Kappa Psi ΑΚΨ

On Wednesday September 6,2017 I attended a general meeting for Alpha Kappa Psi, which is a business fraternity here at Baruch College. A K Psi provided dumplings and soda to everyone who came. There were four speakers who had already graduated from Baruch who were a part of this fraternity, Vincent Li of the charter class, Min Jee Choi of the alpha class, Gavin Li of the gamma class, and Sotiria Zouroudis of the delta class. They each gave informative speeches and answered many of our questions. Each of them told us their stories with AK Psi and their current careers and occupations. This meeting opened me up to many different things since the questions asked were really informative.
