Whitney Museum of American Art

I attended the Whitney Museum of American Art for my enrichment activity. My entry was free with my Baruch ID. Since the museum is comprised of mostly modern art, I could not understand a lot of the concepts behind the art that I viewed. However, I enjoyed viewing them anyway. They did not have any descriptions or titles of artwork, so interpreting them was hard for me. However, I begun to wonder whether or not a lot of the art had a purpose besides existing.

The museum was very interactive and was very entertaining. The museum also offers a deep insight into American artists. I am not a fan of the arts, so this experience opened me up to a new world I never bothered looking into. With a deeper understanding, I could appreciate art on a deeper level in which the artists intended. I enjoyed my experience and hope that I have the opportunity to open myself up to other people’s creativity. They also have the biggest elevator I have ever seen.
