Freshman Seminar Fall 17 DTC

T.E.A.M Baruch

I attended the information session for T.E.A.M Baruch.  I learned about all the different positions you can obtain and heard a little about what each person has learned and how they grew from being apart of the team.  It’s a long process to get in, but from what I heard it’ll be worth it in the end.  You build your character and leadership skills.  Every application is unique to the individual.  I’m considering joining, but I first have to figure out if I’m going to transfer next semester before I can commit to anything.  Baruch really isn’t for me.  I’m debating on transferring out to do my required credits and then come back for my major.  I haven’t really found anything for me here.  It was hard for me to get a picture, so here’s my failed attempt to, but everyone laughed and knew it was for Fro seminar.

Between school and work it was hard to find an event at Baruch that lined up with my schedule so I found the time to visit one of the museums.  At first I tried to go to the Visual Arts Museum on 23rd street, but when I got there I was told I just missed it.  I went between classes so the next closest museum was the Museum of Sex.  It was a $20 entrance fee and not at all what I expected it to be.  When I think of a museum I think of a place where you can find the history of a certain period of time, culture, art, or pretty much anything.  This museum was small and mostly on sexual taboos, which is interesting and all, but it lacked the historical perspective of sexuality.
