Freshman Seminar Fall 17 DTC

Career center

For my career blog, I decided to go to the career center on the second floor of the Baruch campus. I wanted to visit it a long time ago, but for some reason I never had the chance to do so. Before going ,I printed out my resume and asked a woman at the front desk if they can review it and give me some feedback or tips on how to improve it. I was introduced to another woman, who accompanied me into her office. There she reviewed my resume and gave me a guide on how to make a good one.  It turned out that my resume wasn’t well organized, therefore I had to change its structure. After that, I went back to the main office and asked them where I could find open positions and interships. They gave me the STARR career website that I’m going to look through and hopefully I’ll find a job that will suit me and my qualifications. I would definetely recommend everyone who are freshmen and seeking for a job to go to the career center. The people who work there are very polite and always willing to help. This image requires alt text, but the alt text is currently blank. Either add alt text or mark the image as decorative.
