Today I went to a Baruch Republican Club panel featuring three guests, one of them being my own philosophy professor, Mr. James Rowe. The subject that was presented to the panel was about the nuclear weapons in North Korea. They were asked questions regarding the presidents foreign policy as it pertains to North Korea and Kim Jong Un, and if there is anything we can do to stop North Korea from developing and having nuclear weapons. The panel concluded that we will have to live in a world where North Korea has nuclear weapons, and the only thing we can do is threaten them in hopes that they are rational enough to not use them against any countries. The real problem is that if (when) North Korea has nuclear weapons, they will most likely sell them to other countries and organizations, this posing an immediate threat to the United States and the rest of the world. And if multiple countries get involved, this could be a war that is borderline apocalyptic, and we could come very close to the end of the world as we know it.

Majors and Minors Fair
I went to the majors and minors fair in the multipurpose room today. When I first walked in it was kind of a throwback. It gave me a flashback of orientation, when we all had to come here and take our photos for our CUNY ID. There fair itself was actually very helpful. I learned about majors such as journalism, psychology and real estate. I got to ask questions about what jobs you can get in those fields, as well as the difference between having a masters in a degree as opposed to just having a bachelors. Some tables such as journalism gave us a lot of handouts, whereas others such as psychology didn’t have any handouts at all. For the most part it was a good experience and I’m glad I went because it helped me come a lot closer to choosing a major.
Museum of Modern Art
3:15pm, Tuesday afternoon. It was 75 degrees and cloudy. I walked into the museum, which would later prove to be everything that I thought it was gonna be. I went to the cashier to get my ticket (free with Baruch ID), and proceeded to hand over my bookbag as I entered the exhibition. The MoMA is a marvelous facility. There was plenty of room to walk around, and the air conditioning was borderline perfection. It also smelled amazing inside the museum. The atmosphere is what had the biggest impact on my experience. It was truly incredible. The art work, the sculptures, and the views of the city from the windows is what completed the entire adventure. My favorite exhibitions in the museum were “The People’s Studio” where you could design 3D art, gardens and other sculptures, as well as the “melting fan” on the 4th floor. It was an amazing experience, and I hope that I can go again someday.
