I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art again, but this time I decided to go and se the Incan exhibit. I went and found this weird Pot and thought it was pretty cool. It was used as a storage device as most of those kinds of pottery were used for back in Ancient times. I thought it was awesome because even though it’s just a tool used, they still put in some sort of artistic flare into the making of this artifact. if it were up to me, I would laze around and make the most bland pots, and container I could to avoid putting all that effort. Maybe that is why none of my art will be in a Museum.

Issa Met Visit
The Head and Shoulders of a Sphinx of Hatshepsut is an exhibit in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, on display, in gallery 131. This beautifully chiseled fragment granite stands at about 1.203 meters tall. It was created during the 18th Dynasty under the joint reign of the sixth Pharaoh Thutmose the Third and his aunt and step-mother the fifth Pharaoh Hatshepsut. Believed to be sculpted between the years 1479–1458 B.C. and was discovered in Upper Egypt in the city of Thebes. It is believed to only be a portion of one of the six granite sphinxes that were discovered during the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s excavations in the area of Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahri in Western Thebes. While there is a complete example of the sculpture in Gallery 131 in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this particular exhibit could closely be inspected to discover more details on the artistic expressions of Egyptian sculptures during that specific time period. While the full body of work isn’t completely intact, for just the remains you can tell that the Egyptian sculptors of that period keep the traditional art style of their ancestors to depict the likenesses of their leader, in this case, Pharaoh Hatshepsut.
E-Sports Club
I went to the E-Sports Club on Thursday. It was really interesting and fun. They gave a very brief introduction to the club, then split us up into the games we play. I like playing CS:GO and Overwatch so was in that group. Crazy enough an overwhelming number of the people at the General Interest Meeting were League of Legends players. The people in my group were cool and we spoke about the things we liked or disliked about Overwatch. They gave us pizza and coke so I was satisfied. Overall I think the Club is really interesting. Even though I told myself i wouldn’t join a club this semester, I am seriously debating whether or not I should join. Seems like a lot of fun to me at least.
