Freshman Seminar Fall 17 DTC

Hello, THE MET

On October 9th, I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art alone. Yes, Alone! I just had the plan sudden impulse, and I realized that there is blog assignment due tomorrow. Moreover, the MET is also a part of the assignment of global class I need to go. After I bought the ticket, I walked straight forward to the Egypt exhibition. After I took the photos that I need, I start lounging around because the MET is too large to take look the all the exhibits. The first exhibit I went is the Egypt, then the Japanese, Ancient China, and random exhibits. However, this journey is so fascinating. I saw the “The Thinker” status and Blue hippopotamus “William” and its “brother”, an another blue hippo. PixCell-Deer created by Kōhei Nawa at the Japanese exhibit gives the impression to me. The deer has been completely transformed by a lot of “PixCell” beads. Although I was not really interested in history, those exhibits still showed me how beautiful the history is.
