Baruch is great because it has so many different clubs and club activities catering to so many different fields of interest. Many of the clubs are actually very educational and help inform students about topics that can help them learn how to invest and learn the basics of bank work.
One such club is the Baruch Finance and Economics Society club, where I’ve spent a few hours learning about the ins and outs of the basics of finance and stocks. The club members were very friendly and there are refreshments offered at each meeting, though they seem too fond of diet sodas. The members and club leaders have created a very educational and welcoming environment which I’m very fond of. The club has taught me a lot and I hope to attend the remaining meetings in the semester and hopefully join them again during the spring semester.
