Visiting the MoMA was quite an experience. First of all, visiting the museum with free admission was amazing. I went in with an open mind and hoped such an amazing museum wouldn’t be too crowded. I didn’t spend much time on the first three floors because I am not really into architecture and design or contemporary galleries but some of the exhibitions were really interesting. After spending about thirty minutes at the lower floors, I went up to the sixth floor where the really popular and famous paintings were. Most of the pieces were truly mesmerizing and I could tell why they were worth so much money. I also found it interesting that many of the painting being displayed were donated by the Rockefeller family. I am glad that many people can enjoy the art.
Many of the artists had their own section of the floor and walking into the section that had Monet’s paintings was really cool. I love that his art is mostly based around nature. One of his paintings of water lilies took up a whole wall! Truly amazing. I would recommend this museum to anyone.
