On Thursday the 26th, I had the realization that I needed to go do something, but I didn’t know what. After hours of wandering, pondering, and searching for the answer, I finally remembered. I had to go somewhere Baruch related and write about it in this blog. So what did I do? I called up my friend Adam and asked him, “Hey, could I go to PFN (Pre-Recorded Friday Night) with you today?” He replied, “Yeah.” I rudely ended the call and ran there. I arrived and I was shocked. There were three people there (him and two other members). So it turned out that this day they don’t do much and all the other members are caught up with their midterms. So I decided to inquire about the club. Essentially, I learned that they make and produce original sketches, videos, and other video media, aimed at getting a laugh. I watched their previous productions and found myself very entertained. I also got to observe their idea making process for videos, which intrigued me greatly. I used to do something along these lines when I was in high school, which is why I found it easy to like. We ended the meeting by watching other works of visual media.
In terms of Baruch, this experience taught me that there are so many resources here that I haven’tĀ utilized and that there is so much diversity within the community and school. I plan on continuing to go to this club and probably joining others. For the last few months, I’ve been neglecting clubs and going to the library to work. But, after going to this one I’m gonna start getting more involved, for this was a very fun experience. Now I need to go to something else for the next blog post. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your time.
