I attended the Technology fair sponsored by Tamid at Baruch and the Baruch Hillel. It was a unique opportunity to hear from Israeli entrepreneurs on a range of topics from sports to software. I learned a lot about the necessary the qualities and characteristics of somebody trying to start a company. Each day you have a roller coaster of emotions, and part of being an entrepreneur is dealing with those emotions, and trying to be positive and gritty to overcome the challenges each day poses. I’m glad I was able to hear from these professionals!

I had the chance to visit the Brooklyn Museum with my friend. I was pleasantly surprised by how interesting the museum was. I was able to utilize some of the knowledge I’ve gained thus far from my Art History class. I realized that many of the ideas we’ve learned pertain to art from all times. These ideas came to life in the museum. I found myself genuinely enjoying the couple of hours spent in the museum. I decided that even though it’s not so easy to muster up the energy to go on a trip to a museum, it’s an educationally enriching experience. I walked out of the museum knowing a lot more about different cultures and the overall history of different societies. I’m glad I visited this museum, and I can’t wait to see where I end up visiting next!

I attended the Baruch Hillel for my club. Choosing to visit the Hillel, I was immediately introduced to the club leader, who was extremely kind and welcoming.  I felt very comfortable at the Hillel, and they told me about opportunities to get involved. I was also informed that they offer food every day to club members, and sometimes a fellow pier even gives a 5 minute speech pertaining to the weekly Bible portion. I look forward to hearing these speeches in the future, and learning more about Judaism. It is also nice to know I have a place to go and relax when I want to hang out somewhere on the vertical campus. I am so fortunate that I was able to discover all of the amazing resources Hillel at Baruch has to offer!
