Freshman Seminar Fall 17 EWA

Latino Heritage Month

On Thursday, September 7th, I attended Baruch’s Opening Ceremony of Latino Heritage Month. The setting was party-like, with a DJ from Baruch’s radio station, free food ranging from coconut ice cream to empanadas, and a photo booth! Lined across the 2nd floor were tables of the different Latin American clubs who were more than eager to provide information about their club to anyone interested. I really enjoyed the opening ceremony because it showed me how much Baruch appreciates and celebrates its diversity.

  1. Those pictures are so cute! I am glad that you enjoyed yourself, because those events happen rarely. I do hope that you go to a legit club and try to find one that you will enjoy. It will make your college experience better and it will make your college experience smoother. I will be checking it make sure that you stay active on campus.
