italian american museum

I had recently visited the Italian American Museum in Little Italy, in the city. The reason i chose to go to an Italian museum is because my father was born in Italy and i wanted to gain more knowledge about the history of Italy. I would then be able to come home and tell my dad about the museum and all the interesting exhibitions i viewed there. One of the purposes of the museum was to show the hardships in immigrating from Italy to America. The most meaningful exhibit to me was the passport and identification documents of people who were hopeful of moving to America. I was then grateful for knowing that my dad got to come to America without those hardships. After the museum I went to an Italian restaurant and ordered some delicious pizza. Remembering this day will always help bring me back to my heritage.
