Trip to the museum – Emily Qu

I went to the Museum of Natural History on Friday September 8th. I went there alone and it was a short visit, but it wasn’t boring, I had fun for the most part. There were many exhibits and they were fairly interesting to look at. I went to the rock section first on the first floor, it wasn’t really my thing so I left the section shortly. Then I visited the African mammal exhibition, this one was more appealing than the other one in my opinion. The waxed animal figures are so realistic, even more realistic in picture. There were elephants, tigers, birds, hippos and so much more. Then I went one more level up to see dinosaur fossils, I see a lot more people there because that’s what the museum is know for after all. The dinosaur fossils are so big, massive in fact so big that I just can’t help but imagine if it was alive, it would definitely have what it takes to swallow me up whole. I also find the fossils not “old-looking”, they actually look really well preserved and polished, so much that it makes me think twice weather it’s made out of plastic or not, it’s super glossy. Then after the short 30 min visit, I went home. The trip was fun but I’ll probably not go alone next time, I would have to go with someone else. The more company there is, I feel like a trip the museum would be more fun and lively.
