Journal Entry 12

1. My most motivating goal/dream in my role as a student is to have a grade-point average of 3.2 and higher while also having a side activity like an internship/job/position in a club.

2. Some personal qualities that would help me achieve this educational goal/dream would be being persistent, determined, willing and thrilled to pursue and accomplish it.

3. (Persistent, Determined and Thrilled)

4. Three versions of my personal affirmation:

– I am a determined, persistent and thrilled student.
– I am a determined, persistent and thrilled student, molding my path to success.
– I am a determined, persistent and thrilled student and I will surpass my expectations.

5. The sentence I like best from Step 4:
I am a determined, persistent and thrilled student, molding my path to success.

6. Three paragraphs, one for each of the three qualities in my affirmation.

– The time I was most determined in my life was during my junior year in my high school career when I began to notice that I’ve maintained above a 90 for 3 consecutive quarters and was possibly going to be on Principal Honors (95+) for the year while having 3 AP classes.

– A moment in my life where I would consider myself to be persistent would be when I wanted to buy a car and was working at Trump Links Golf Course while attending the SEEK Summer Course. I was bringing in enough money for the car but not for obtaining luxury items. I was persistent in not spending my money on those items and putting it all in my savings for my car which I acquired later in August.

– Finally I would consider my self most thrilled when I see the results of my effort in work being positive. That pushes me to do more in that type of work and thus excelling.
