1. An obstacle that stands between me and my success is my girlfriend because, she constantly wants my undivided attention all the time.
2. Someone besides me who could help me overcome this outer obstacle are my studious friends.
3. How this person could help me is by telling me to focus, achieve and complete all of my work.
4. An inner obstacle that stands between me and success in college lack of focus.
5. Someone besides me who could help me overcome this inner obstacle is my Mum.
6. How this person could help me is by helping me with moral support along the way.
7. The most challenging course I’m taking this semester is Anthropology 1001.
8. This course is challenging for me because it doesn’t make any sense.
9. Someone besides me who could help me overcome this challenge is my professor.
10. How this person could help me is by telling me what I need to focus on, what to study for.
2) Write about two choices you could make to create a stronger support system for yourself in college:
The lack of focus I tend to have in college is degrading who I am and my work ethic. I think it is causing me to have bad grades in most of my classes. It’s hard for me to sit still and focus on a reading, when I can be doing other stuff. Too many distractions are at home, which causes me not to focus. Talking to my professors has helped me ascertain what I need to study for on my next exams. I talked to my anthropology professor which helped me out a lot, she gave me a lot of helpful advice which will lead me into the right direction.

My Life Plan
My Dream: Until I start to realize that life is all about the money and not the education, that’s when I know I have achieved my dream.
My Life Role: A graduating student at Baruch College
My Long-Term Goals in this Role: I plan on graduating from Baruch College and Grad school. I want to achieve both a M.S. and MBA within the next 7 years.
My Short-Term Goals in this Role:
.I will achieve a 3.5 GPA or better
.I want to travel abroad
.Milly Rock on that Gates block
.I will build and make new connections
.I will get an internship every summer
2.) I have learned to change my attitudes for achieving life goals by saying “I will do” rather than saying “I want to do”. If you want to do something, it doesn’t mean you have to do it. Opposed to saying that you will do something, meaning that you have to do it.

- The system that I use every day when I wake up is to simply go with the flow. I don’t necessarily like making plans, my life is busy as is. I make mental notes for everything, I do not use a planner because it is a waste of time. To study for tests I usually study the review sheets and look over class notes. If I’m tired I usually take quick naps to give me more energy to complete my homework or study. I feel like my system is a resemblance of High School. When I start to become more mature and finally realize what real work is, then I will change my system.
- In order to improve my daily system I will have to make some adjustments. First I will change my whole routine, and get into the college flow. I have to try to always be one step ahead of my schedule. I want to better my self-managing system, by making myself more organized. I plan on getting folders for each class, so I don’t mix up any of my work. I’m somewhat organized just because I am neat freak, but I think I will have to start to become more considerate for the value of my school work. Overall I think it all comes down to experience, and my bad habits will change overtime.
