My First Semester !

I only have about 3 weeks until I finish this semester , which was my first semester in college ..
I was scared as hell , before I joined college , I wasn’t sure I would make good friends, and I’m really lazy when it comes to studying .. so I thought I’ll be like the worst in class .. ,I also thought that the language is gonna be a barrier that I won’t be able to cross.  I never thought I could make it , but now that this semester is ending , I’m glad to say it actually went ok , it wasn’t great or amazing .. but it was really good .. I made some friends .. and to my surprise , I wasn’t so bad at class , that’s really joyful for me 🙂 ..

I’m still scared that I wont be able to improve my English , and to be make more friends and just to fit in overall , but I guess time will tell , I just need to let that off my mind now, until the right time comes, where I can think about it, with more confidence in myself ..

Thank you:)

Everyone admire someone.

We all have someone in our family who we most admire. From my perspective these people are essential for us as we have somebody to mirror ourselves.
In my case, the person I most esteem is certainly my father, whose life story inspires me and even helps me to have a better life.
He was born in Morocco 71 years ago and when he was 9 years old his parents decided move to Israel. they were very poor and at age of 11 he had to leave his home because he has 7 siblings and only 1 room to live at. He was growing up on the street with no money for food or clothes but with a big dream to became successful man. make long story short after 20 years at age of 30 he was in the top 100 richest mens in Israel. and I admire him for this ( of curse that for lot’s of other reasons).  I think that everyone have dreams but there are few people in the world strong enough to fight for them. Surely, my father is one of this people. Courage, determination and overrun are the traces of his strong personality that I most prize. He is also smart and extremely confident. It is always a pleasure to hear his life experiences. I’m looking to follow in his footsteps so that I can be a better person and guarantee a successful future for me.

Summary of my life

My Life Story

I’m 22 years old, born raised in Israel a little and young country in the middle. I was born to a lovely family as fifth sibling. 3 brothers and 1 sister we live in a small town that is located next to Haifa, which is the third largest city in Israel.

I started swimming at the age of 7 and I had been practicing 40 hours a week. After 10 years of hard working I won the Israeli swimming champion cheap, what until today consider the happiest time of my life. At age 17 I had a motorcycle accident which threatened to kill me and finish my career.

After a long rehabilitation at age of 18 I joined the military service and while serving in the military I get introduce to a new game that fascinated me, and I found out that I’m quite good at it. The name of the game is Omaha poker. I also find out that I can make a lot of money from this game and make a decent living from this.

While in the army I still kept pursuing my dream to go study in the United States, like many of my former teammates. So I had to take the SAT and work hard to improve my English. After scoring at 80 percentile on the SAT I got accepted to Baruch College and I’m glad to be part of Baruch college community today.
