Final Post

What can one say about their first semester of school? Obviously it’s too much work, takes up a lot of time, effort, etc, blah blah blah…
That was something that I expected, therefore I really did my best to not let it bother me and to allow myself enjoy school without the stress of school being “surprisingly” hard. Therefore I can easily say the following…

My experience at Baruch this semester was definitely lots of fun despite requiring copies amounts of studying, little to no sleep, and unnecessary amounts of homework. I’ve learned how to properly manage my time according to the needs and requirements of my classes, as well as balancing an enjoyable and realistically practical social life.
I’ve made some amazing friends here, whom I definitely plan on hanging out with over summer and further down the road. I think that overall Baruch is a fine institution with an excellent reputation and it makes me proud to be a student of theirs. I can’t sit here and lie to you by saying that there were no low points during the course of this semester however, every time that I was faced with a situation that had a grim outlook, luckily, everything ended well and worked itself out in the end. I think that FRO was one of the most enjoyable classes that I took in Baruch so far, not just because of the minimal workload, but because of the warm caring atmosphere that Shanima, Aditi, and the entire class provided for me. It was a pleasure to have met and conversed with everyone in our class. I can easily say that I’ve learned several things from every single person’s contributions be it via monologues or discussions. I will definitely miss my Tuesday 12:50-2:05 ice breaker sessions, and everyone who participated.

Overall I’ve enjoyed this semester, and even more so I appreciate the finer things that it has taught me outside of academics. I’ve learned how to study, maximize my own productivity, and efficiency. I can’t wait to see what Baruch has in store for me next semester, and I hope the see all of you around sometimes.
