My Monologue

Waking up early wasn’t always the easiest for me, I always cherished my sleep. It was the best part of my day. Back in HS, if I would miss the bus it would be because I hit the snooze button 5 times. I wouldn’t mind it though, I would just come in late and no one would say anything. After High school though i took a year and a half break and went to Israel. Needless to say i was not waking up early every day, so I kind of got used to sleeping in late. The first day of classes at Baruch, actually, i should probably say the first week of classes, i was up before my alarm. Probably because i was excited. But as the weeks went by, i started to bring back the snooze button. I have to say the snooze button probably saved me like 10 absences since the beginning of the semester. That could be because I have an alarm every 5 minutes starting from 6:05am. I’m not too sure as to why waking up is so hard for me. On the days where I don’t have school, ill go to sleep at 4am, but wake up at 8 am like i just slept a good 10 hours. but on the days where i have school, ill go to sleep around 12 and wake up at 7 but feel like I’ve slept 3 hours.

Every morning I push myself to get out of bed. Because i know that if i slack now, im just ruining my own future. That is why i wake up everyday with the mindset of achieving something new each day, not only in school, but in my daily life as well.
