NO-CARD

Blog post #3

Baruch has been great so far. Good professors, made good friends. It was a bit hard to start studying hard after not doing so at high school. I believe I became much more responsible after I moved to the US and started studying at Baruch.

Blog Post#2

After reading my free writings, I saw that I wrote I consider myself lucky, and my family is the biggest reason for that. I really admire three men of my family, my grandfathers and my father, who a learned a lot from. My grandfather, father of my mother, was part of the army, and he taught me a lot a bout discipline and commitment to everything I do. My other grandfather, who I only got to know based on stories I’ve been told, was a hardworking man who provided for the family, thinking about the others before thinking about himself. Like my father, who always put others before him, always giving and never asking anything in return. I believe they are role models and I am lucky to have them in my life.

Blog Assignment 1: Felipe Arosa de Sousa

Hello, I’m Felipe Arosa de Sousa and this is my playlist:

Ben Harper – With My Own Two Hands

The Beatles- We Can Work It Out

Blur – Song 2

Foo Fighters- Best of you

Foo Fighters- Times Like These

Jack Johnson- Home

Jack Johnson – Only The Ocean And Me

Jason Mraz – Living in the moment

Lenny Kravitz- Fly Away

Pennywise – Bro Hymn Tribute

I am from Brazil and I think some of these songs can represent the change I am experiencing now that I live in the US. Soccer and surfing are my favorite sports and I really miss them.  There are many other things that I miss, but I am enjoying my time quite a lot and I would not go back if could.  Getting out of the comfort zone is very important for me and I guess some of these songs can relate to that. Some songs can relate to the way I see things.  In conclusion, music taste can tell a lot about a person and these are songs that I like, and some happen to describe somewhat what I am going through.
