Blog #2 Career

For my second blog I went to get my resume fixed at the Starr career development, I went on this past Thursday. First thing I learned was for one, my resume was kind of shit, like, awful. Before you went though you had to have gone through a worksheet to attempt to fix your resume a little before entering. Once you are there someone goes to look it over and point you in the right direction.  There they looked over my resume and gave me points on how to fix it, such as adding power words that make your resume sound more professional such as administrated and organized. They also helped clean up my resume by reducing the amount of words I had and limited the writing to single statements. If there is one thing I recommend is make an appointment, if you do not walk ins have to wait until 5 until they start to look at yours, and that’s only after everyone else has finished.
