On Saturday, I attended the first baseball game against the Maritime College Privateers at MCU Park in Coney Island. When I got there, there was about a total of 10 people in the audience and majority were sitting on Maritime’s side. Both teams were warming up on the field, while a mix of Katy Perry songs played in the background to get us all ( all 11 of us) in the baseball spirit. Once the game began, the Bearcats fell behind quickly while Maritime had 2 home runs within the first 20 minutes. From there it got incredibly boring, and I don’t know much about baseball but I’m pretty sure that the person batting is supposed to hit the ball. Both Bearcats and Privateers barely attempted to hit the ball, and in some instances when they didn’t hit the ball they were allowed to go to the first base. Although the Bearcats caught up to Maritime, they did end up losing 10-8.
