This was quite an experience, reading through what all my classmates wrote helped me see more into who they are and the awesome ideas that they have. There were many different stories, some with an underlying purpose with politics, while others were purely for enjoyment. However, regardless, one was able to integrate the research that they did for the previous assignments. One of my favorite stories that I read was definitely “My Past Chances” by Jacky Zhen. The storyline was amazing and some aspects of it gave me chills, which is honestly my favorite parts of a movie or story. Not scary, but attention raising, something that both the protagonist and the reader/viewer dont know about. It gives the story a much more realistic vibe. I also really enjoyed N’zarama’s The Trafficking Ring, it was a great story with great visuals. All the while making something of an action movie that many people would rush to the theaters to watch, it also carried the underlying point on how powerful guns are and how we must have proper regulation, yet she put it in an amazing way which does not put anyone down (Maybe aside from those who made the loopholes). These were my top two that I would pay good money to see in theaters. Something else is I was able to observe how different people interpret stories in different ways. Based on personal experience they see things in a certain way. But there were a few pieces (Like Jacky’s) that everyone was able to agree upon. I also liked how every single story had an underlying lesson, some less visible than others. But nevertheless still there. Even though some of them focused on the same issue, they still found a way to be unique and different. This was a great way to see the diversity of thoughts that we have in the class. It was also really nice to see people’s ideas and points being refined and reflected in this assignment from the previous ones. In Fact a couple of times I forgot they were even different assignments, it just felt like I was reading a continuation that fit in perfectly. The individual with my favorite trailer was Yaseen. It was so captivating to watch, as if he (playing the main character) actually was going through what the story says. He managed to perfectly blend gifs and recorded clips to make something that I would nominate for some sort of award. Overall this was such a great experience and I am so glad I got this opportunity to grow alongside my classmates. Grabbing inspiration from what they commented and wrote helped me change a lot of the ways I can think of things. And seeing how different people implemented their own ideas was awesome. Having the comments on our posts really adds more to the assignment than just grammar (which is what english class used to be for me). As much as I wish we could work on these ideas more, the class is coming to a close. And I am very happy that I got to share the experience with my awesome classmates.
