Project 3 gave me a chance to move beyond just dreaming about my ideal job, pushing me to actively prepare for it. Making my own website initially felt overwhelming. I had to carefully organize my resume, cover letter, and rhetorical analysis, all while making sure my work looked professional and easy to follow. While rhetorical analysis is still challenging, even after practicing since last semester, analyzing the website and job posting of a company I genuinely want to intern with made things clearer. This process helped me better understand the company’s core values, design strategies, and communication style. As a result, I learned how to match my application materials to what they value most.
Throughout this project, I also discovered gaps in my experience, especially related to data analysis and collaborative projects. Instead of feeling discouraged, I now see clearly what I need to improve. After this project, I plan to gain more hands-on experience with collaborative data projects, perhaps by joining clubs or taking additional courses.
Overall, this experience was valuable because it taught me how to reflect carefully on my own work and goals. Building my website around the company’s rhetorical style made it meaningful and personal. I genuinely hope this experience becomes a strong foundation for my future career, helping me continue to grow in the direction I truly care about.
