Sam Frizell wrote an article called “American Millennials’ Skills Are Lagging Behind the Rest of the World.” He talked about how young Americans math skills are fared poorly in the world. They are also lacking the major skills required to compete in the global labor market such as literacy, numeracy, and computer-age problem-solving skills. Studies were done by the Education Testing Service Center for Research on Human Capital and Education. The results showed that young Americans were tied for last in math skills with Italy and Spain and landed in the bottom in problem-solving along with Ireland, Poland and the Slovak Republic. Americas also has lower literacy scores than 15 out of 22 countries.
