Clement graduated in 2021 with minors in Finance and Communication. He completed his MS in International Business from Zicklin School of Business.
He is currently working for Credibility International, an HKA company, as a Senior Consultant

Clement’s Current Role
We assign a value to certain harms done, usually within the context of international arbitration… As expert witnesses, we assign that value, and the reports we publish on these ‘damages’ are submitted to the lawyers when they are suing the government or another investor. It’s very much like a finance role, where you assign values to things.
Clement’s Internships
I interned throughout my undergrad. Baruch gives all of January off, which is helpful for finding short-term internships that can still add valuable experience to your resume. Internships were very helpful in building my experience. Before deciding to leverage my international background, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to pursue political science, law, or something else.
Clement on Navigating Cultural Differences
The attitude towards work varies greatly between countries, and that’s something you don’t necessarily consider when doing a case study. In the U.S., it’s easy to fall into the impression that your career is everything and that your life revolves around your work, but in other cultures, you may prioritize it a little less. It becomes clear that career and cultural implications are very important. In certain markets—like Iraq, for example—it can be very hard to get people to show up to work five days a week for a full eight-hour workday. There are circumstances people live through that might not be expected.
Clement and International Business
A major focus of the IB degree was interacting with different backgrounds and cultures, learning how to handle various situations, and incorporating that to your advantage. When working in an international field, this becomes directly relevant in many aspects—how you greet people, what you should know beforehand, and so on.
Clement on his Masters Degree
Since I graduated from Baruch, the GRE requirement was waived, making the process easier. Ultimately, it only took five years to complete my MS.
Choosing to pursue and continue in IB helps to add leverage to your degree and a layer of specificity [to an otherwise broad major] that you can leverage in an interview.
Clement’s Advice to Students
General Advice: Keep in touch with your professors. I wanted to launch a little bit of a research project and wanted to hear Prof. Andreas Grein’s take on it. He was always available and gave me some great insights. It’s always nice to have someone who has experience in the same field and knows where you are coming from.
Advice for students interested in Clement’s current role: This is a very niche industry… and I think it’s a very easy field to break into… It’s easy in that a lot of things are more applicable than it seems on the surface.
(So keep a lookout for any transferrable skills from your current experiences!)
