Tal at AWS

As a Cyber Account Manager, I lead customer-focused teams to deliver security solutions. I oversee two groups, each made up of 6-10 talented professionals, combining technical expertise with strategic project management. Together, we work closely with large cyber customers and key partners to drive cloud innovation.

Working for the Israeli Military of Defense

During my time as an account manager with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, I developed partnerships between the IDF and the U.S. defense industry, focusing on procurement and innovation. After two years, I was promoted to manage a team of account managers, where I worked to enhance procurement strategies and market analysis efforts. My experience there taught me the importance of collaboration and innovation, both of which fueled my career growth.

Navigating Cultural Differences

There’s a lot of business between Israel and the United States, but they remain very different in terms of how they think and conduct business. Having worked in both environments, I’ve learned how to navigate the contrasts between Israel’s direct, fast-paced approach and the more protocol-driven U.S. environment. I had the role of a middleman and even had to wear two hats at some points in time. Within IB, it’s a lot about people management—even if you’re not managing everyone directly, you need to help them understand how to achieve what you need. By focusing on cultural nuances and effective people management, I’ve been able to drive successful collaborations and build meaningful international partnerships.

Global Student Certificate

The program sharpened my ability to understand diverse perspectives and their impact on decision-making in the business world—an essential skill when working in global organizations. It enables you to bridge cultural gaps, transform differing viewpoints into strategic advantages, and contribute to driving innovative solutions in a global environment.
