Undocumented immigrants who have NO criminal background should be granted a pathway to citizenship. Period!  Children should never be separated from their parents. The American value is family comes first.  Bernie Sanders, US Senator for Vermont, had stated “It is no great secret that across the United States undocumented workers perform a critical role in our economy. They harvest and process our food and it is no exaggeration to say that, without them, food production in the United States would significantly decline. Undocumented workers build many of our homes, cook our meals, and maintain our landscapes. We even entrust undocumentedworkers with that which we hold most dear- our children.”

We need actions and not words. Mass deportation is for the criminals not for the hard working, tax paying immigrants who dream of a better life.

The website www.jezebel.com has a list of dedicated organizations (pro bono Lawyers) such as Families For Freedom and Coalition for Humane Immigrant rights to help undocumented immigrants and refugees start the process of a life of peace and freedom and not of fear of being deported.

Our local and state representatives of congress can form aplan of action, similar to the 1960’s civil rights era, when blacks, whites,clergymen, freedom fighters and local politiciansall united for one course.
