Assault on Power Grid

On Sunday, October 6th, Federal Authorities investigated an attack on power grids in Lonoke County, Arkansas.

On Sunday morning Federal Bureau Investigator to the scene where two power poles were purposely cut. Local authorities suspected that the unknown assailant used a stolen tractor to cut the power grid. This tractor was equipped with a circular blade attached to an extendable arm. Utility officials asked that residents remain alert to future threat. Federal authorities are in the midst of investigating whether there is a connection between this attack and two previous attacks against the power gird in Arkansas are connected in some way.

This incident occurred not too long after F.B.I. opened and examined in to allegations claimed by utility company: Entergy Arkansas. They reported that one of its high-voltage transmission lines have been brought down by a train. Yes, a train. Investigators stated that someone attached a cable, half-inch in diameter, to the tower and planted in across a nearby railroad track. Investigators describe it as “an attempt to utilize a moving train to bring down the tower.”

F.B.I. has said that whoever is responsible for this attack may have some expertise in electricity. A reward of $25,000 has been posted in this case by the bureau, which is currently being assisted by the Federal Department of Energy.
