I remember when I was around 10 years old with my grandma. She will watch old chinese operas and I recall hearing something screeching. Sometime similar to a train screeching but a little more refine and it seem like someone is trying to make a rhythm. It goes like “eeeeerrrrr eeee”. It turns out to be an instrument call Erhu that is similar to a violin but from China.
