Europe’s Ethics Panel Says Cloning Harms Animals

Europeans were told that meat and milk from cloned livestock were safe and healthy to consume. However, a few days afterwards, the European Ethics Panel alerted them that the cloning causes suffering to the animals. The European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies claimed that the livestock carrying the cloned embryos were suffering and that the clones themselves had high rates of disease and health problems.
