Baruch’s Weissman School plans to support increased awareness of climate change concerns, environmental precautions and the need for more sustainability actions on campus with its new initiative “We are Climate Action.” The initiative launched in March 2021 with the first lecture in a series. WE ARE CLIMATE ACTION event organized by Baruch College: Climate Change and Preparation for NYC Resilience.
Moderator: Professor Brett Branco (Brooklyn College, The Graduate Center, CUNY), director of the Science and Resilience Institute at Jamaica Bay.
Panelists: Jainey K. Bavishi, director of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate Resiliency, and Alice C. Hill, senior fellow for energy and the environment at the Council on Foreign Relations.
