Although I acknowledge that there are several different types of game play and countless more that could function as subcategories, for the sake of this argument, I will create a dichotomy amongst the variety of game play. The different kinds of gameplay that will be addressed in this website were created for either entertainment or educational purposes.

Games like Pokémon, Call of Duty, and League of Legends are some of the few games that would be classified under the “entertainment” category

   While games like Lumosity, Kodu, Khan Academy, and any game featured on funbrain.com or coolmath.com would be considered part of the breed of gaming that was created with the primary purpose of education in mind.
