A 1 1/8″ Cube. BORING.
Meet MegaReptile. MegaReptile was created using all 9 block shapes that our class had modelled. Yes, including that plain ol’ cube above. The idea to make some sort of creature came to me when I took two arch-shaped blocks and held them together so that they formed a shape which had reminded me of a jaw. When creating MechaReptile I started with the head then torso, limbs, and finally the claws and teeth. It was difficult resizing angling and placing the blocks. When I had previously uploaded this model (or so I thought) I had decided to recolor it, a process that proved difficult. The second time around I decidied to leave the individual compontents in their original colors to show that this is a combination of th original blocks. When designing on sketchup, one must have a vision or direction, although the final product will rarely be what you had planned. Also camera angling is very important in this software. Master camera angling and your creations will come into fruition with much less frustration.
