  1. Wealth inequality is such a serious issue in this nation needing urgent attention. Your first paragraph proves how much of a problem it is. It sparked an immediate angry emotional within me of how this trend is continuing to grow without consequence. The health vs wealth comparison sparked a similar reaction from me, but not as strong. The National Institute of Health reported similar report of health disparities between the poor and wealthy and well as minorities.

Your options seem attainable, but as you mention it must be done soon. Big business is taking control over our political system. To increase momentum, a major unified grassroots movement has to be organized. Similar to Occupy Wall Street in terms of national attention, but organized. The public needs to be more aware of the actions within its government and place pressure. In addition, anything that has Elizabeth Warren’s name on it should be concealed, as it will automatically be opposed. She made a name for herself in a good way against Wall Street and the GOP.

I really like your first option. Since a few states have already supported the amendment of Citizen United, there is a good possibility of its passing. In addition, Citizen United will have grave consequences to the average citizen if not adjusted soon, so it should be tackled first.

  2. In my opinion, democracy is a system that benefits that the super rich (high-income) class, and the poor-lower income class (providing social welfare to the poverty). But it does not benefit the hard working middle class people, such as us who will be will be someday, unless you became a billionaire then you’ll be able to get out of the terrible system. I found your solution to policy option 1 and 3 to interesting, but difficult to initiate and maintain. I was wondering on how are you able to begin such a task, and what are the procedural steps? Unless your organization, http://www.movetoamend.org, mentions about the steps and procedures on how to a voice to the government that gives us immediate response?
