There will be ten reading quizzes throughout the semester. The reading quizzes are designed to make sure you’re keeping abreast with the reading. Full disclosure, I’m not a fan of this type of assessment, but I have found that for the majority of students, having quizzes helps them stay on top of their reading and to pay attention to what they are reading. There will be a reading quiz for every set of readings and two for Frankenstein, which is a total of 10 reading quizzes. Each quiz will be worth five points, for a total of 50 points. This means if you multiply your total quiz points by two you will know what your grade is for the reading quizzes.
Note: I will administer, collect, and go over the answers for the quiz in the beginning of class. This means that you will already know what you scored on the quiz. While I will return the quizzes, I will not necessarily do so in a timely manner.
