Summary
My pitch for the photo essay will be on the feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy, New York City. I want to capture the essence of the festival, the culinary culture, and the heritage that surrounds the festival of Italian Americans. It has been around since 1926 and attracts an astonishing one million people each year. It will be held on Grand Street in Manhattan and starts on September 14th and concludes on September 24th 2023. Through photos I will be capturing the people, food, art and culture of this unique festival.
