I really enjoyed reading this story because of the flow of the dialogue and the way in which every character has his/her own personality. The dialogue is natural and allows the reader to really delve into the story by making the language quite colloquial. It’s interesting to read a story of soldiers especially because of how this story shows a different angle of how a soldier lives his day to day life in that era. Perhaps the most striking part was the last section when Thomas sits back and thinks about the good and bad of life and what the future may hold. I feel like that’s a very relatable part of the plot.
