For a long time, I never thought my life mattered. I never felt that I had a purpose in life. I always felt alone and unloved. Now when posed with the question “Why does my life matter?” I concluded that my life matters for many reasons. We have all been given the gift of life, and life has a purpose. First, I am part of a big family, I need them, and they need me. I have so much to live for and so many more memories to make with them. We keep each other company and support one another, especially during times like this current pandemic. Next, I am on the path to get a degree in early childhood education. I hope one day to make a difference in young children, especially disabled children. I want to be able to make those who have special needs smile and have a full life, which I feel like I can do because I can relate and really empathize with them. I want them to know that their life matters, and that their life has a purpose. It does not have to be the same as everyone else’s to be important.
