My life matters. My life matters, in part, because my students’ lives matter, All of my students’ lives matter, but not all of them know it. The College of Staten Island has a very diverse student body and many of the students who walk into my classroom have been taught by society that their lives don’t matter, or at least matter less than others. That is why I became involved in the Our Lives Matter Movement. This is a movement that teaches all students that their lives matter and that they are important.
