Living in Woodside, New York, for my entire life, I have witnessed many changes to the neighborhood over the past few years. The stores change, the parks change, and the people around me change. But one prominent change is just a few blocks from my home. At the corner of 64th street and Queens Boulevard is a Dominos. It is a chain pizza store with very cheap pizza.
However, this is just one of many changes in my neighborhood to that street alone. There is now a Dollar Tree store, Subway, and Dunkin Donuts. Just a few years ago, there wasn’t much there at all. It was a newly renovated apartment building with an empty first floor. There was just a food cart at the corner of the block which never had any customers. That food cart disappeared and then all of those newer stores opened up.
Although it is like any other Dominos, this one highlights how quickly New York City changes. The apartment building finished renovated and immediately a few businesses open up where there is space available. Having changes can either be good or bad but these changes are good ones. It increases the options I have for meals.
