Thesis Statements

Thesis 1: In many friendships, one may think that the two friends are both equal, however,  in a friendship I witnessed, this was clearly not the case; there was one friend who was the leader, and the other, the follower.

Thesis 2: The relationship between the parents and the child is unique to every family, and with each set of parents, each child asserts one’s own distinct characteristics, particularly, emphasizing on my relationship with my parents, and how that relationship affected me.

One Response to Thesis Statements

    Hannah,
Both topics seems quite interesting, and both seem personal, which could be a very good idea for this particular essay, as you need to get quite specific. Whichever topic you choose, both thesis statements need to be narrowed. For both, think of a specific relationship (one particular friend or one parent) and then the area where the problem seems to be the most exasperating (other friends, recreation, belief system, etc., for the first option, or private space, school/work, etc. for the second).
