This article is about Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Africa. This 4-day event will be taking place in Tshwane this year from October 30 to November 2. It will count with designers representing over 15 African nations and will showcase 20 runaway shows with collections of more than 30 designers.
Important African designers will be present such as Mozambican designer Taibo Bacar, who won last year’s designer of the year winner.
This year, this event features a retail element where designers can engage in business to business networking. Overall, this fashion week provides the opportunity to African and heritage designers to present their work, get closer to the global fashion community and promote the local industry.
