A Drunken Irish Wake: Neil Young’s Tonight’s the Night Live at the Roxy
In September of 1973, 500 people flocked into producer Lou Adler’s brand new Sunset Strip club called the Roxy to see Neil Young. Most of the people probably assumed they’d be hearing Young’s radio hits like “Heart of Gold,” “Cinnamon Girl” and “Ohio.” Little did they know, he had just recorded a brand-new album called Tonight’s the Night, and it was unlike anything they’d ever heard before.
