From a snowy Elvis Costello show to the passing away of Gary Burden, here is the latest news to help start off your week.

1. Willie Nelson played two shows at this year’s South by Southwest. The Texan performed on March 14th at his ranch and on March 15th at his Old West town Luck. According to Rolling Stone, these shows were the first time Nelson has performed since cancelling two rounds of dates due to health reasons.

2. Despite an insane blizzard, Elvis Costello performed at the Brooklyn Steel on March 7th. Though he performed hits like “Alison” and “Pump It Up,” he also played the extremely rare “I Still Have That Other Girl,” a song he cowrote with Burt Bacharach in 1998. Brooklyn Vegan reviewed the show, reporting that it was his first of four NYC-area concerts.

3.  Artist Gary Burden passed away at the age of 84 on March 7th. The New York Times reported that his wife, Jenice Heo, confirmed his death. Burden designed legendary album covers in the 1960s, including Crosby, Stills & Nash’s debut album, Joni Mitchell’s Blue and the Doors’ Morrison Hotel. However, he is perhaps most famous for his work with Neil Young, in which he has designed over 40 album covers for.

4. Brooklyn’s Kings Theater will be screening a film of the late David Bowie’s musical Lazarus, complete with a live performance of the original band. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, but Consequence of Sound provided a link to a pre-sale on their website.

5. Thom Yorke announced solo tour dates this morning. The Radiohead frontman will be touring Europe throughout May and June, right after Radiohead tours South America. According to NME, tickets will go on sale on Friday, March 23rd.
