Going to the Yiddish exhibit at the museum was such a wonderful experience. I had no idea that Yiddish theatre had such an effect on theatre in New York City. The part of the exhibit that struck me the most was seeing how Molly Picon had such an impact in her time. Being that she wasn’t the tall pretty ingenue typecast character normally played by woman by in the day, it was amazing to see how a woman like her in her day in age could have been so huge. She is definitely a true role model for her time and in modern days for woman all over, especially because she broke many barriers for woman in theatre.
